NEW S.L.G.C BADGE SYSTEM 

Introducing our new skills based  badge system, where gymnasts build their skill level from learning the very basics of the sport on each piece of apparatus  to the advanced skills used in higher level competitions.

The badges are designed not only as a progressive learning tool, but also to give the gymnasts the choice  on what they do with those skills without  pressure or expectation

Gymnasts can Choose which path they wish to take when doing badges 

1) Gymnasts can choose to just complete the badges and build skills 

2) Gymnasts can choose to take part in our in house competition ,

based on the badge they have completed that year ( competition will take place around March time)

3) Gymnasts doing badges 2-6 will have access to larger competitions,

 such as  the General Gymnastics competition and similar invitational competitions

TESTING

Badge Testing takes place 2-3 times per year.  Gymnasts are tested on all 4 pieces of apparatus for 

each badge level

BENEFITS OF THIS SYSTEM

Having the badge system set up in this way allows not only the gymnast to confidently track their own progress but for the Coaches to be able to monitor the gymnasts making sure they are in the most appropriate class for their skill level.
